I had already done the chin/neck waxing and that went pretty well so I decided to be adventureous and try the leg waxing. arghhh is it going to hurt? Actually, it wasn't bad.
I didn't realize that there is actually a professional designation for this service. They are called estheticians. They are licensed (in Florida anyway) and this is considered a profession. They all had their certificates hanging on the wall - their school's diploma and their state certificate and license. I was impressed
Review of Service
They used hot wax and let it cool. What pain there was lasted just ONE second. I wish I hadn't been so nervous - at least I'll know next time.
They offer 1/2 leg and whole leg waxing. The whole leg is $55. Since I seldom wear short shorts, I didn't see any point in doing the whole leg, besides, my hair is light and soft.
Although it's considered a 1/2 leg, it includes from just above the knee down to the feet. I'd say that's really 2/3 leg ha ha ha
They had 2 people doing it - one on each leg. That way when they removed the wax, it was done all at once, not one leg and then the other.
Tips
Even though it hurt a little bit, I still felt pampered. I was doing something for myself. It was something I had to do for myself anyway, so why not let a professional do it?
