Review of Service
We were in a car accident last year, and started to see a chiropractor twice a week. He reccommended that we suppliment some sessions with massage. He has 4 massage therapists that work right in his office. I have been lucky enough to use all three ladies, and they are all wonderful. It is a very relaxing, calming experience, and when I am having extra trouble with my shoulders or knee, they put extra attention into the area. Because we were in a car accident that wasn't our fault, we actually don't have to pay for the service at all, however the 45 an hour that we would be charged would be something I would gladly pay. All of the therapists are trained and certified, they are all very sweet and do a wonderful job. It is in a private back office, with only candle light. You are able to take off or keep on anything you want, and they are very respectful. I have never felt uncomfortable or embrassed by anything.
Tips
If you're getting massaged for the first time, be aware that you will be sore afterwards. Also, drink plenty of water as the massage is pushing toxins out of your body and you may get dehydrated. Don't ever be scared to ask them to apply more pressure, or less pressure, depending on what feels best. If you are uncomfortable with someone, don't be shy to ask for someone you would be more at ease with. Remember, you're paying for the time, and if you're not getting exactly what is right for you, you have a right to change the service you are getting.
