the Cost of Personal Accounting Services

This is the fee I paid to have my taxes done by a certified public accountant. Our taxes involved reporting income, charitable donations and income from investment property. This was a full service tax preparation performed for us that involved a meeting that lasted approximately 1 and a half hours followed by a quick meeting for us to sign forms and make out a check for taxes ( unfortunately no refund for us that year but that was not the certified public accountant's fault.)

The service we received was excellent. Most importantly we were able to feel complete trust with our accountant. He is a well respected and well established member of our community with years of experience dealing with all types of financial situations ranging from doing taxes for businesses as well as private individuals. Before we met with him he gave us a clear picture of the preparation we needed to do, what papers we needed and was very understanding when we didn't always have everything in order the first time around. Being given an understandable explanation of what we needed to do on our parts made the process more comfortable for us and helped us understand how we could do things better in the future to make dealing with our taxes easier. We are very happy with our accountant and firmly believe that his services are well woth the payment.
