Description of service
I threw a baby shower for my sister in law and ordered 50 invitations from a printing company. The cost of the invitations and envelopes was $85.
Review of Service
I didn't do a very good job with this and didn't even really research the appropriate cost of this. A friend who was helping to throw the shower suggested the company we went with. I got a quote from them and just took it.
Looking back, I wish I'd done a little more shopping around. The invitations were fine, but very generic. They were black and white and had a very generic picture of a stork holding a baby in a blanket it it's beak. There were no specifics printed on the invitations, we had to fill in the blanks on the inside. I really felt like I could have just picked up some very similar invitations from a local card shop for a lot cheaper.
Tips
Make sure to take your time and shop around. It's certainly good to ask your friends and family for recommendations but don't be afraid to look around beyond that and tell whomever made the recommendation that you've found something better. If you're paying to have these printed, they should have the information printed on them.
