the Price of an RV Park

We store our motorhome in Arizona and drove it to San Diego where we stayed for a full month at a private campground that was paved and provided full hook-ups - electric, water, cable, sewage - for $875. The park also provided free wireless internet and had a small pool available to guests. It gave us a good view of the water and was gated and guarded 24 hours with attendants who patrolled the premises.

We have stayed at several parks in the area and have come back to this one because it has the best location and facilities, although the price of $875 for the service is very expensive. The park is generally well maintained and kept clean, and the spaces are wide enough so that we are not extremely close to the RVs on either side of us. Having full hookups that consistently worked was a definite benefit and the wireless internet is a nice feature. We also really like having gates and good security to keep the park safe, especially while we are away from the motorhome. Pets are allowed and there are dedicated areas for them, along with a nice walking path, so we were overall satisfied with the service and accept the price as the premium we have to pay for a destination city.

If you are going to be in or near a major city, be sure to consider the security features of the park so that you can feel safe and protected while you are staying there. Also, if you have a dog, look to see if there are walking paths or specific areas where you can take your pet for exercise.
