Description of service
Back of neck piercing, barbell to put in it, sterilization, cleaning information, care consultation
Review of Service
I got the back of my neck pierced in Memphis, Tennessee. I went to a reputable shop that I had researched and found to be a good, clean, safe tattoo and piercing shop. The shop consulted me before doing the procedure, made sure I understood that the bar could eventually push itself out of my skin, made sure I knew how to properly care for the piercing, sterilized the location, pierced me, and inserted the barbell. The entire thing took about 45 minutes, and I left the shop confident that I had the information I needed to care for the piercing, and somewhere to turn to if I did end up needing information or advice regarding my body jewelry.
Tips
Before getting any piercing, be sure to think it through. Don't get a piercing on an impulse decision. Make sure you know what kind of metal you would like your jewelry to be. Obviously make sure you're not allergic to the metal. Consider what guage you would like it to be, as well as if you will be participating in any activities that would require you to take it out before it heals. Get recommendations from friends and online as to a reputable shop to go to. Make sure they are licensed if necessary in your state. Consult with your piercing artist, make sure you have the information needed to care for the piercing, and get a number of the shop so you can call if you end up needing advice.
