I had my nipple pierced at a local shop in Salem MA. The shop was a tattoo parlor and a piercing shop. I was in a out of the shop in 30 minutes.

I was very happy with this service. The technician was very thorough while explaining everything he had to do and why he had to do it. It was also surprisingly private. We went into a back room where I was allowed to undress by myself and he gave me time to arrange myself on the chair so the rest of me was covered before he came it. He was very patient because I was visibly nervous. I was able to relax with his causal conversation and it was virtually painless. He then went over very strict rules that I must follow for care and cleaning. I was out of there in 30 minutes.

Try to research the place before you go. I had heard about this place and was able to talk with a few people who had been there before. It made a nerve racking situation far less so.

Make sure the place is clean. If the place looks messy and dirty then the place is messy and dirty.
