Description of service
The procedure was a bilateral breast augmentation, meaning both boobs were made bigger. Silicone gel implants were used, though saline implants were also available. There was no up-charge for the larger implants, just as smaller implants weren't really cheaper.
The doctor's practice also offered a variety of out-patient cosmetic procedures in the office like botox and whatnot, as well as a few in-patient surgeries like liposuction in a local hospital.
Review of Service
In the year that I've had them, I couldn't be happier. I had them put in through incisions in my armpits They hurt like mad for the first few hours after the pain meds the doctor gave me but before I got the pain meds prescription filled. Once I'd healed and could remove the bandages I was amazed with the results. They were a bit small and saggy before but they're super perky now and though they don't lie flat natural boobs do, they bounce and jiggle they way boobs are supposed to. And I don't need to wear a straight jacket, I mean "a bra," any more. Also, my nipples are just as sensitive as before and get just as hard.
Tips
Silicone gel implants are back on the market after a long time and a lot of stigma about them being unsafe. Saline implants are still available, but they don't move or feel like natural breasts, and they have the possibility of leaking and deflating, although the risk is minimal, but silicone gel implants won't leak and actually feel more like natural boobs.
As for a surgeon, reputation is a must as the outcome is almost entirely dependent on the surgeon's skill. The remainder is in "rehabilitation" of the tissue after surgery, this mostly involves playing with the boobs regularly so scar tissue doesn't form because the scar tissue can deform the breasts around the implants and make them look weird and unnatural. Fortunately my husband was more than willing to spend the needed time massaging them to get them to heal right.
Also, be sure you trust your surgeon. Make sure if you go in for a boob job he or she doesn't just start marking you up and suggesting other procedures you "need." They'll only do that if they're insensitive to your desires and are a bit desperate for business.
If you get them too small for your frame, they'll be too far apart to look real and if you get them too big they'll hurt your back but they might also pull the skin away from your chest and make you look like you have a bit of a uniboob, though that can be fixed.
And if you're super lean and have next to no body fat, fake boobs will make you look a bit weird, like you've got fake boobs. I'd say you need to be at least around 20% body fat for the skin not to be too tight over the implants.
Oh, and guys will give you A LOT more attention if you have big boobs. Just saying.
