the Cost of Breast Augmentation

I recently had breast augmentation surgery. I paid five thousand dollars for the entire process. This included a preliminary meeting and exam with the doctor for planning, the surgery itself, and two follow up visits that I had post procedure. My insurance did not cover any of this because it was not a medically necessary procedure but purely cosmetic.

I was very happy with the surgery. The doctor spent a great deal of time going over everything with me, asking me what I wanted, and sharing his opinion of what would work well. I really feel better about myself since the operation. I feel ten years younger and a great deal better looking. It may sound silly but undergoing this really helped my self esteem.

I would not make any decision involving breast augmentation too quickly. I spent months researching the risks and benefits of all the different options and highly suggest that you do the same. I also looked into several doctors focusing on their education, certification, and experience. I asked around and got their names from both my doctor and some of my friends. If you do not choose the right doctor, you could end up spending more for after care and/or repair.
