the Price of a Couples Massage

The massage starts with a foot massage in a candle-lit room and soft music playing in the background. They then direct the both of you to a hot tub area where there is music playing in the background, they leave you a small bottle of champagne with a couple of glasses. After about twenty minutes at the hot tub, they take you to a larger room where you and your significant other are laid side by side receiving massages for about 45 minutes.

Personally, we did not care too much for the foot massage or the hot tub. We cannot give a fair assessment of the foot massage considering we both have ticklish feet, however we can not get over the fact that there were probably hundreds if not thousands of couples who have just used the hot tub before us. We weren't sure if an exorbitant amount of cleaning supplies would help put our minds at ease. In addition, the dank and slightly musty environment added to our suspicions that the hot tub was not as clean as we would have preferred.

However, the massage was well worth it. They did an incredible job and were attentive to our needs. For instance, I prefer a lighter massage, whereas my girlfriend prefers a deeper tissue massage. They also gave us the option to participate in a facial if we so chose.

The greatest piece of advice would be to call ahead and figure out what the couples massage entails and find out ahead of time if you and your significant other would enjoy the services in a public setting. If you are the leas bit uncomfortable, I would recommend just going the safe route with only the massage for the both of you.
