the Price of a Couples Massage

The massage therapist provided an intimate relaxing couples massage with music and candlelight, specializing in deep tissue, hot stone, and swedish massage.

The massage was okay. I am not sure it is anything my husband and I would splurge on again. For Valentine's Day we thought it would be relaxing and romantic to have a couples massage performed. While it was relaxing, it was not worth the money we spent on the massage. I was not all that impressed with the massage--it seemed to hurt more than help, and I ended up with a stiff neck and a migraine afterwards. The whole experience was not as intimate as I would have liked--it seemed we were both kind of in our own place instead of sharing a wonderful romantic experience. If the cost were only half as much, I might consider having another one, but at a hundred dollars for less than an hour, it wasn't worth the money.

If you are really wanting a massage experience, plan an individual massage of your own liking, instead of trying to work in another person in your massage time. It may be more relaxing and more rewarding. Find a certified massage therapist who specializes in the kind of massage you like.
