the Price of an Exfoliating Massage

I had an exfoliating massage at a local massage school. The cost of the massage was $55.00. I tipped $15.00 for a total price of $70.00. The person massaging me had been in school for 7 months and was close to graduating.

It was really a great experience. The woman used some kind of sugar scrub that smelled incredible. When the woman first came in and was getting her stuff set up she asked me if it was my first exfoliating massage. When I indicated that it was she went through and explained all the steps and processes to me. She made me feel very comfortable. I left feeling scrubbed and relaxed - which is kind of a strange combination of feelings. The only complaint I had was that because it's a school not only can you not recommend a particular person to perform the massage you also can't even request the gender. My husband would not get a massage as he doesn't want one from a man.

Definitely check out schools in your area. They are cheaper and in my experience most are guaranteed or your money back. Be sure to tip well as usually the person doing the massaging not only doesn't get paid but is actually paying tuition. That said some places don't allow students to take tips so be sure to check that out.
