the Price of Telephone Service

I receive Phone service from a very well known phone company. My bill includes local service only, and call waiting. The bill breaks down as follows, 14.55 for the phone service, 2.50 for call waiting, and 10.56 in tax and charges.

I am actually very happy with the service I have received from this company. My phone is very dependable, and I always have a clear connection. The price seems a little high to me because there is no competition out here, but that is to be expected. But for being a large company, I have been very impressed, every time I have called for any type of question or problem, I was usually always directed to the person I needed to speak to immediately, and my question was always answered or my problem resolved.

The best advice that I could give someone about shopping for phone service would be to make sure you find out what providers are in your area, and what the costs of each provider are. In areas where there is more competition, there are more likely to be better deals. Also, think about what services you really need, for example, I have cell phones, so we don't need long distance. I also opt out of the caller ID feature because my phone does not have caller ID. There are many different packages, and types of service, just make sure you know what is included in your package, and decide if you realy need that much. It could save you a couple of bucks.
