the Price of Telephone Service

This is basic phone service with no features such as caller id or call waiting. The price includes regional community calling and unlimited incoming. This is the price for a land line. There is an additional fee for long-distance included in the $30.00 price of 5.00 for long distance access that then costs ten center per minute. This also inlcudes 3.00 for in inside wire maintenance.

The phone service is in a rural area so you expect the usual outages due to storms and break downs in the lines. Rural phone service usually takes longer to repair. The phone service works fine, when it works. I pay for the inside wire maintenance so that when the phone is out I don't have to take a phone to the outside box to establish if the problem is mine or the phone companies. If they come to repair the line and it's inside then there are additional fees.

Have a good handle on your phone needs before you have it installed because it is very expensive if you are making many long distance calls or calls out of your regional area. Carefully read what exchanges are included in your region or you may end up with a huge bill. Be prepared to be patient when there are problems because repair service is slow in this area.
