Description of service
My church offers preschool for $150.00 per month. They also have a sliding scale option for people of lower incomes.
Review of Service
This was well worth it - the best bargain I've heard about. We had the best teachers here. Lots of playtime and lots of learning too, the perfect combination. The kids got to take quite a few field trips. Some of these required a minimal additional fee, but again this fee was waived for families of lower incomes. The teachers did a great job motivating the students to learn. One way they did this was to have contests with silly prizes like a tootsie pop. The kids loved the competition and the feeling of 'winning' though. They also had a lot of games that were very educational. These worked great because the kids often didn't even realize they were lessons. This was a half-day daycare, with only a morning option. That was the only downside, as I would have preferred an afternoon preschool. When all was said and done though I did feel that my child was much better equipped to start kindergarten than before this preschool.
Tips
I always make a point of sitting in on a day of class anywhere I sign my kids up for. It gives you an idea of how well the teachers and students interact together.
