I had my bikini area waxed at a spa. The cost was $100 and I gave a $20 tip which brought the total of the procedure to $120.

I spent a girl's day at a local spa as part of my best friend's bachelorette party. We all got pedicures and manicures but a few of us decided to get some extra services. I'd never had a bikini wax so I decided to give it a shot. They said they had new technology that made it virtually painless. I can't compare it to a regular bikini wax as I haven't had one, but it was definitely very painful! The person who performed it did not put me at ease at all and in fact made me very uncomfortable. To make matters worse I found out later that this price was very much over the typical cost of this service. I was left very smooth for a very long time but it was definitely not worth the cost or the pain.

It really does hurt as bad as they say it does. If you want to get it done anyway just be sure you're getting the best price you can. Call around to a few different places.
