Description of service
I took care of two of my grandchildren for four months. They're 7 and 8 years old. Their father was in Iraq and their mother had to have back surgery in Minnesota. I didn't want these two bright children to lose that much school, so I enrolled them in school.
Because I run my own business, I had to find some kind of day care for the time between after school and when my shop closed.
Review of Service
Some days I was able to pick them up from school and they could spend the rest of the afternoon with me; some days I could not.
I found this day care close to their new school and not too far from my store. Some places I talked with only take children that are going to be there every day or just on an emergency basis, so it was hard to find one that would take occassional children, maybe three times a week. I could have set them up for every day and then I would still have to pay whether they went there or not.
I was extrememly impressed with the facility. It was decorated in bright colors and there was a good child/adult ratio.
Tips
Check references !! Check out the facility - in the morning and in the afternoon. Sometimes the staff is part-time and you need to check out the whole spectrum of employees that will interact with your child.
