Description of service
Auto body repair, including collision repair, replacement, and dent "pop-out", as well as anti-rust coating and other auto body services as requested. My old Saturn was parked in the driveway under a tree, and during a major thunderstorm last summer, a tree limb fell onto the hood of my car, putting a good-sized dent right in the middle of the hood.
Review of Service
The service was okay--nothing to really write home about. The body shop was able to hammer out the dent from the underside of the hood without having to replace the hood of my car. For the price I paid, and the work I got, I could probably have hammered out the dent myself--I didn't realize just how easy the repair would be to do myself with a rubber mallet and good lighting. There are still a few crinkles in the hood (it is the only part of my saturn that isn't plastic!), but it looks much better than it did. For a car I only drive occasionally, it works just fine, and the damage is strictly cosmetic. Not sure I would recommend the body shop to anybody because they never suggested it was the kind of repair I could do myself, but I wasn't totally disappointed with the service and the quality of the work.
Tips
See if it is the kind of repair you can do yourself before getting charged a fortune to have somebody else do it. Don't be afraid to get several estimates to see what kind of price you are looking at to have a dent removed from the hood of your vehicle.
