Description of service
I paid 50.00 for a weekend class in how to ride a motorcycle. The class was sponsored by a local motorcycle sales and repair shop, and it was specifically for ladies. The class met at 8am on Saturday morning, there was a lunch break at noon, then we started again at 1pm,and went until five o'clock. We started at 10am Sunday, took a break for lunch at noon and finished at 4 o'clock. There were a total of six people in the class and two instructors. We covered safety, maintenance, "road rules", troubleshooting and driving. We practiced in a large parking lot.
Review of Service
The service was very good I thought, of course they want you to be happy because maybe then you will buy your own motorcycle, not just drive someone else's occasionally. There was only one owner in the class, the rest of us were potential buyers. The classes started and ended on time, which was nice. I felt that the instructors really were very knowledgeable and they listened well and encouraged questions. The equipment/bikes we used were very nice. I was comfortable in the all female class and think it is a good idea for a lady learning to ride.
Tips
I would talk to your local motorcycle shop and see if they give classes or can recommend one. I would ask how much time is spent actually riding the motorcycles before I sign up, as well as what motorcycles are used for the class. Ask if they provide helmets and other protective clothing.
