Description of service
This is the cost I pay per year on homeowners insurance for up to $50,000 of coverage for my condo in San Jose, CA. It covers most major accidents and disasters except for flooding because we are not in a flood zone. We also do not have any major anti-theft or safety features on our home which can bring the cost of insurance down significantly from what I am told.
Review of Service
The company that we are currently with has been fairly reasonable to work with. We used them for our renters insurance previously and then switched over when we purchased a home. The switch over was a bit tricky for the agent that we were working with at the time as it seemed that they were new to the process. We often get offers from them in the mail asking us to consider switching all of our insurances needs to them, but I am happy with our other current providers and the rates I am getting. But I did shop around with other homeowners insurance providers and they were all generally the same which was why I decided to stay with them.
Tips
Find an insurance provider that is local. They should know the area well and know even what types of discounts are available in your neighborhood and zip code as well
