the Cost of Wedding Flowers

The fee for these services included flowers and delivery (delivery charge was built in). We purchased a bridal bouquet, flowers for 6 bridesmaids, 8 boutonnières, 6 single roses for the mothers and grandmothers, and 12 large centerpieces. We also rented 12 table pedestals to raise the flowers up off of the tables, and a bag of rose petals for the flower girl to carry.

This florist was absolutely wonderful. Her fees were very low and she does beautiful work. We met with her a couple of times at her shop, and had a fairly good idea of what we wanted, but she also came up with some wonderful suggestions that helped us save even more money. The bridal bouquet was mostly roses and very elegant. The bridesmaids bouquets were equally beautiful, and the florist provided roses to place on the head table at the reception, which the bridesmaids then placed their bouquets in, providing the centerpieces without extra cost. The florist delivered 4 of the large centerpieces to the church, which were then moved from the church to the reception hall to use as centerpieces on the family tables. The other centerpieces were already in place at the hall. All of the bridal flowers were delivered to our home before the wedding so that photos of the bride and her attendants could be taken with their flowers. Everything was set up at the church and the hall in a timely manner. No complaints whatsoever!

Look at lots of bridal magazines before meeting with the florist so you have some ideas to work with. Also, think about using some of the pieces both at the church and the reception; it will save you some money and no one will no the difference!
