the Cost of Wedding Flowers

This price was for the wedding flowers only. We used only boutineirs for the men; corsages for the ladies, flowers for two female attendants, and two vases for altar flowers.

The flowers were as breathtakingly beautiful as I ever dreamed they could be. Our colors were a unique orange and purple, and these colors were blended perfectly in the bouquets and the arrangements. The man who arranged our flowers had an amazing ability to make something very simple look indescribably beautiful. Our goal was to have a fairly inexpensive wedding; in fact, these flowers were, next to the cost of our honeymoon, our single greatest expense (it was a small wedding). The flowers were completely worth every penny we spent. I love them.

*Know how many people will be in your wedding and exactly what type of flower arrangements (corsages, bouquets, etc) that you want for each of them.

*Know what colors you want the flowers in your arrangements to be, and have an idea of how many and what type of arrangements you desire.

*Be aware of a budget for your flowers. This will make it much easier for the florist to work with you and develop arrangements that are within your price range. Be aware, however, that flowers are expensive; the florist may tell you that you are being unrealistic if you want a lot of flowers but have a very low budget for this part of your wedding.
