Description of service
I went for a belly button piercing. The cost was $30, but I tipped the artist $20 because she did such a fantastic job. This also included the first piece of jewely, which was basically a simple stud.
Review of Service
This tattoo shop has been around for quite some time and has an excellent reputation. Since I was piercing my body, I felt it of the utmost importance to have the piercing done at a reputable shop. This shop meets all required health standards and uses sterile procedures for the piercing. The artist wore gloves, the equipment was either brand new (not used) or sterilized. She was very careful during the piercing procedure and made sure I was lying down flat in the event that I felt woozy or sick. The entire procedure lasted only about thirty minutes, from the time I went into the shop and signed all consents to when I walked out with my brand new piercing! I was given thorough cleaning instructions and what to do during my after care. This shop was wonderful and the artist was so great I thought that she deserved the $20 tip!
Tips
Research, research , research! Most large cities have numerous tattoo/piercing shops so you can pretty much pick and choose who you want to pierce you. Talk to the artists, get a feel for their personality and how they approach their customers. Most importantly, make sure that the shop meets all local and state codes for health reasons.
