Check Cashing Fees

I cashed a $200 check and only had to pay a flat fee of $2. In the past, I've had to pay a percentage of my check, which could have amounted to several dollars for one check. I was very pleased to be able to pay such a low fee to cash my check.

I'd advise people to call at least five different places and compare fees. If you settle for the first one you come across, you could end up paying several dollars more than you would have if you were careful to shop around before making your decision.
