Description of service
I had a consultation session with the tattoo artist about two weeks prior to when I got it done. He explained to me my options, and I was able to discuss the pros and cons of everything, and figure out what exactly and what color I wanted done. The day of the tattoo, I was put in a chair with a mild sedative and eyelid restraints to keep me from fluttering. The process took about twenty minutes. Afterwards, I was given care instructions.
Review of Service
Everything seemed very, very clean and professional, which I was glad to see in a tattoo parlor. I was worried I'd end up someplace shady and get an eye infection. I was well-consulted on pretty much everything - except how much it would hurt during the tattoo and after. I was totally unprepared, and it left me cursing my decision for about a week. I think if I had known, it might not have seemed so bad. Anyway, now that it's all over, I'm really happy with the way things look. It was pretty ugly for a few days, though.
Tips
Talk, talk, talk to the person who will be tattooing you, and ask to see pictures of their prior clients. Tour the parlor, and make sure everything is sterile. It's risky stuff.
