Description of service
I had a chip in my windshield from a rock on the interstate. It was smaller than an eraser-head size and had two cracks coming from it. Total size would fit within a nickel. I paid $65 including all taxes and such. The person came out and cleaned the windshield, put a gel glue type substance on the cracked areas and the chip, put a suction-type device over it and then put an ultraviolet light on it. After about a couple of minutes he pulled everything off and it was done.
Review of Service
The service was great. The person showed up, fixed the window and was done leaving all in about 15 minutes. The window looked great. I could only see a slight imperfection in the window where the chip had been but the crack were no longer visible. The workmanship was wonderful and the worker was very polite and knowledgeable.
Tips
I would offer the following tip: Make sure the company your get understands the size of your damage. Most companies can work with a chip and crack that fits within a quarter size and some can actually work with something that fits into a dollar size. Not all companies can work with the dollar size. Anything over that would constitute as a windshield replacement.
