Description of service
We contacted a local photographer that works at a studio, but also does freelance work on the side for Senior Pictures. This way we were able to cut costs that the studio would charge. We were on a tight budget, so this was very important. The cost included everything from the sitting fee to submitting the photo to the school yearbook, in their format. We took about 3 hours for taking the photos at a local waterfront park. I brought along another friend to help carry equipment and hold lights, or we would've paid a little more for a second person. We got 6 sheets of photos made up with whatever effects we wanted and a disc of all our favorite pictures was included.
Review of Service
Our photographer was really great. She was easy to work with and made my son feel comfortable in the spotlight. She went out of her way to work within our busy schedule and delivered the picture to the yearbook on time under a tight deadline. This was money well spent to capture this special time in our family life. I know we got better service because she was free lance and not under the constraints of the studio.
Tips
If you can find a good photographer to go to your location and take photos that include something of the senior's life and interests, you will be very pleased. I would always ask for the disc of the pictures. The extra money is very well spent.
