Description of service
The price we paid included everything that was needed for a full package of senior portraits. It included the sitting fee that was charged upfront as a deposit of $150. We were allowed two sittings, one in the studio and one at an outdoor location. They had a list of locations and sample photos taken at each location to help us make the choice. The fee also included a consultation with the assistant to choose the photos we wanted to have printed and the actual pictures printed according to the package specifications: 3 8x10 photos, a collage board that included 8 4x6 photos, 4 5x7 photos and 2 poses of wallet sized photos. The yearbook photo was submitted digitally as part of this package price. This was a large enough package to give some away and we were happy with the price. Many of our friends paid much more.
Review of Service
The photographer we were assigned worked very well with us to capture the nature of our not-too-photogenic son. She was able to get him relaxed and natural over the course of the photo shoot and that made all the difference in getting good pictures for this momentous occasion. Although the price was lower than we had quoted from other establishments, we felt the service was excellent and everything went according to our schedule. We were pleased with the quality of the photos we received and thankful we chose this photography studio.
Tips
Ask a lot of questions about the process so you will feel comfortable with the price you are paying. Ask about fees for extra sittings and extra photos. When you are looking at all the wonderful pictures, you may realize you want more than you originally asked for. Be clear in your mind what you want to do with the pictures when you get them - display, gifts, announcements etc. You may need less than you think.
