Description of service
This service was for classes only. There were no books required as these classes were for Pre-K and Kindergarten children that would not be able to read yet. The class provided coloring worksheets and the like during class but there was no extra charge. Classes were 3 times a week and each class was about an hour and a half long. They took a few breaks during class and let the kids run around. As well, a lot of the teaching took place during playing and activities, which is perfect given the age of the students.
Review of Service
Service for this class was great. They set the class up in a way that lends itself to teaching small children. There was no actual "instruction" time but rather all interaction. After the first course (German 1) my daughter was able to piece together small sentences in German.
Tips
We were told not to use German in the house as not to confuse our child, because we still wanted English to be the dominate language. This worked well, as after a point only German was spoken in class. So it was only German in class and English at home. In addition, you may have to require English to be spoken in the house. My daughter would switch into German mode and be home saying everything in German. She actually started to forget English until we required English in the house.
