Description of service
It cost $30.00 for to have a Land Rover hand washed, dried, and vacuumed. The regular cost was supposed to be $20.00, but they charged $5.00 extra for SUV's, and the tip was an additional $5.00.
Review of Service
After a weekend trip with three small children, my Discovery was in desperate need of a good clean up job. I noticed a place close to my house that had a hand wash special for $20.00, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, they informed me that it would cost $5.00 more due to the size of the car. They had three people working on the car, so they were able to finish quickly. They washed and dried the outside of the car, they cleaned the tires and rims with a special cleaner, and made sure that the windows and mirrors were sparkling clean. Afterwards, they vacuumed the entire car, cleaned the console and seats, and sprayed air freshener. I was really impressed by the how good the car looked and smelled when they finished. Considering the size of the car, I think that $30.00 is a reasonable amount to pay.
Tips
I prefer hand car wash over machine wash. In my area there are a few places that run it through a machine first and then have people finish it by hand. They do charge less, but they don't clean as well as a full hand wash.
