Description of service
During September of 2006, I grew tired of slow dialup connections with my $23.90 a month ISP and began looking for a new dialup Internet service. After doing some checking, I found a little known dialup service that appeared to be a good fit.
The service offered a free thirty day trial period. I signed up and found there was no software to download; the system provided me with instructions on how to find local access numbers and configure the Internet dialer on my hard drive. From the very beginning, I could tell this service offered a faster connection than my former nationally known service.
The service included one free email address, which is pretty standard with budget priced dialup services.
What is different is this service includes access to a free online message board for assistance, and the ability to interact with other users of the service.
Review of Service
After one year of usage, I can vouch for the fact that I consistently experience secure connections that are always at least 50K BPS - faster than national name brand dialup services I've tried in the past, and far less expensive than several I've tried over the years.
Online and email assistance has been consistent. Usually, I receive a response within four hours or less. I always receive an invoice several days before my credit card is debited for my monthly charge.
Tips
If you are looking for a dialup service:
1. Read online consumer reports; you may find a gem that meets your needs perfectly.
2. Know what you want in the way of features and what you are willing to pay.
3. Ask questions before you commit; if there is a free trial period, sign up and test the quality of the service every way you can.
