I was driving while my license was suspended and ran from the police 1/2 mile from my house. He agreed to represent me. I went with him to court on my scheduled date. My case was scheduled to be one of the first ones heard since I had a lawyer. However, I didn't even have to appear before the judge since my attorney made a deal with the prosecutor prior to my hearing. He was able to negotiate all four of my tickets down to one charge of reckless driving. I only had to pay that fine and the court costs for all four tickets.

The whole process and end result were well worth the money I had to spend to hire the attorney. Instead of having to pay massive fines for four tickets, as well as face having my license suspended for a long period of time, having an attorney enabled me to have only one violation on my record as opposed to four. I would have gladly payed much, much more for my lawyer's services if the result would have been as such. I was very pleased with my experience.

You really don't need to shop around for the best price since what you may gain is invaluable. You should, rather, shop around for a competent lawyer who is experienced in handling traffic violations and understands the process as it is in your locality.
