Description of service
While my husband and I are middle age, we both have seen, first hand, how deaths in the family can turn ordinary people into monsters. We decided to try and circumvent that by having a will drawn up now, and making changes to it as the need arose.
The $200 fee included the initial consultation, the follow up visits where things were often added or changed, as well as the final printing and signing process, making the documents legally binding.
Review of Service
The attorney we consulted with was very thorough. He helped us figure out everything that should be included in our will as well as how to navigate the murky waters of assigning a guardian to our children. After several trips and consultations, we were very pleased with the final result. Although neither of us is in a hurry to depart this life, it's calming to know that our wishes are now legally binding.
Tips
Be sure that you include all possible assets. While we understood the biggies such as our home and land, we did overlook a couple of very minor financial accounts. Although these may not be worth a lot now, in the future they might gain considerable worth, making even the smallest things important.
