Description of service
The service paid for was for a friend to have their eyebrow pierced as a birthday present. The cost included the selection of an acceptable eyebrow piercing to be placed in the new pierced hole in the eyebrow, as well as the use of a topical sterilizing solution and topical ointment to minimize the pain from the piercing of the brow. The price also included a bottle of the sterilizing solution to use on the site around the piercing for a period after the piercing had been inserted.
Review of Service
As far as I was able to tell, the process of completing the piercing was very easy and went rather quickly, as far as I can tell. The person working was very helpful in describing the process they used to clean the site, place the piercing in, and then place the jewelry into the pierced hole to allow for the piercing to remain open. The operator of the shop where the piercing took place was licensed and bonded, so the operations were certified to be safe and clean, and he took great lengths to ensure that his tools and the work area he operated in was as sterile as could be prior to the piercing. My friend says the piercing went really well, and at this point she still has it in place.
Tips
The primary thing you should be concerned with in purchasing any type of piercing service or other body alteration is that the operator of the shop has a license and some sort of accreditation to do the job. Many shops have a license, but the operators are doing the piercings often without much experience, which can be an issue. Also, check with local regulators like business watchdog groups and the health department to ensure that the shop you plan to get your piercing from has a good record on health and safety and will provide a good service in a sterile environment.
