Description of service
I signed up with a company for a one time personal planning assessment. They offer a couple of different programs. They can create a plan for General investing; Retirement planning and Estate planning. Each plan is different depending on your overall planning needs.
Review of Service
I am approaching retirement age but felt my 401k and pension plans were more than on track. I opted for the Estate planning personal plan. I was given a rather lengthy and thorough survey of my investments. That was followed up with a about an hour and a half phone meeting with Personal planner. About two weeks later I was sent a detailed plan. Since it was an Estate plan it did take into account my retirement assets so I was pleased about that. It is a detailed evaluation of all of your assets and options. Any recommendations of investments or allocations is strictly in their company product portfolio. Which is fine if your only interested in investing in the company's product line.
Tips
$500.00 is fairly cheap for the service that I received. I checked other outfits and they were much higher in fees. One tip I heard is that the overall planning pretty much does retirement and estate planning for you. Just a tip.
