Description of service
I pay $390 per week for my two little girls aged 5 mos. and 2yrs. to attend a local family daycare. I provide for them each day diapers, wipes, infant formula, baby food, and extra sets of clothes. I also pay a fee for any special field trips they may attend.
Review of Service
The childcare service I receive for that price I think is fair. My children are cared for 8.5 hours a day Monday - Friday. In that 8.5 hours my 2 year old is given two meals, two snacks, and juice, water, or milk on demand. My baby is given as many bottles as she needs (provided by me) and she is also fed baby food (also provided by me.) They are entertained and taught well by their caregiver. I also know that they are clean and safe.
Tips
My advice is to shop around for a daycare in terms of price and what is included in that price. Also make sure that whatever provider you chose is someone who you and your children are comfortable with and trust very much. Also make sure that your children are comfortable interacting with the other children. It is helpful if most of the children are roughly the same age. Finally make sure that you establish a set pickup and drop off time early so that your children and their provider can begin a routine and you can avoid late fees which can be costly.
