the Price of Short Massages

I paid $50 for a 30 minute therapuetic massage with essential oils. It was performed by a certified massage therapist at a local high end day spa. I gave a $10 gratuity.

I received a 30 minuted essential oil massage. I was very nervous, as this was the first massage I have received by a professional. I was pleasantly surprised. The therapist explained everything he was going to do in layman's terms. He reviwed my medical history to determine what would be best for me. We discussed any health concerns I had, which allowed him to individualize the service for me. He made sure to periodically check in with me to make sure the pressure was ok. He was very professional about keeping my modesty a top priority. I am a very shy person and I felt totally at ease, despite the fact that I had only a sheet covering my near naked body. I received a total body massage with a focus on my back. He seemed to know exactly what areas were particularly sore and worked more intensely on those areas. he worked all the tough knots out of my back and I truly felt revived afterwards. He allowed me extra time in the room when he was done so I could relax a little longer. As a new mom, those extra few minutes of peace and quiet meant the world to me.
