Description of service
I took a one day 8 hour seminar/class on scrap booking. It was $100 and $25 for materials. We had a half an hour lunch break and lunch was not provided.
Review of Service
I definitely learned a lot in this seminar but I think I might have gotten more out of a more extended time period rather than a one day tutorial. We were provided some materials and were given a list of our own materials to bring. It was kind of a pain to lug all that stuff to the class. The teacher lectured about different methods while demonstrating. We then worked on what she'd taught as she walked around and gave us advice on our technique. Then she'd teach us about something else and we'd do more hands on stuff. There were about 5 or 6 techniques she taught us this way. She taught us a lot in a short amount of the time and at the end of the day I was really ready to be done scrap booking for the day. My main issue with the way it was presented was that we weren't given any sort of take home guide so I had to rely entirely on my memory and the samples I'd created in class.
Tips
I think this type of class is better suited for an hour a week for a few weeks. I think you'd get more out of it and probably have time to practice between classes and come up with questions you might have.
