Description of service
Lessons on how to make professional looking scrapbooks using paper, card stock, stickers, embossing, embellishments, and how to use color theory, markers, paint, stamps, zig zag scissors, lace, cloth, and photographs to preserve important family memories
Review of Service
The class I took was at a local crafts store. While there were a lot of people in attendence, there was enough personalized help to get the information I needed to know effectively and quickly. The fee charged covered a few supplies, and we were encouraged to also bring any additional paper and materials that we might have. We were shown a demonstration on the various effects you can achieve when using embossing, stamps, and wax resist on our scrapbooks. We were shown how to effectively match colors and embellishments, the best way to preserve our photographs, and shown how to pick out the proper layout for the scrapbook. All in all, I was very pleased with the scrapbooking course that I took. It was a few hours long, but in that short amount of time I quickly learned what I would need to know to preserve memories for my children and family.
Tips
I would suggest to look into the local craft stores for scrapbooking lessons. Many of them have affordable lessons meant to draw in future customers. You can meet fellow scrapbookers there to share tips, and sometimes afterwards the store will give you a discount on supplies!
