the Cost of Private Elementary School Tuition

Private school versus public for educational and social growth of kids. I personally chose private because of social purposes rather than educational purposes.

The education level of my son’s school is top-rate. I couldn’t be happier. Florida’s overall rating in country for public school is a D-. This is a problem I would agree however I firmly believe that a child’s education has much to do with his values. If a child is taught to take his or her education seriously that child will excel in school no matter where they attend school. Private school isn’t always the answer seeing as how there several great magnet schools programs available in the public school systems, one of those being the International Baccalaureate program which concentrate heavily on academics. The reason I chose to have my son in private school is not necessarily the quality of education he will receive at his local public school, it’s more because I’m worried about him coming home and telling me a few choice words he learned in school today. It is unfair to assume he can’t learn these things from private school but I’ve seen the crowd of kids that go to the public school vs. the crowd that’s going to the private school and it’s pretty evident where the better choice was.

The best advice I can give is weighing your options and observe the school choices you have just because a school is private doesn’t guarantee a better education. The social environment is the driving force behind me to having my son attend private school rather than the educational value. I can a definite difference in the level of education he is getting vs. another 6 year old he close with that attends public school but I honestly tend to think the problem isn’t the teachers at either school. It’s the fact that the kids in the public school are constantly getting suspended, at 6 years old, for all the fighting that’s going on. Is it worth over 8k a year to have my child in a decent environment? Of course it is.
