Description of service
For our wedding, we rented two tuxedos. One for an adult male, and one for my six year old son. We rented shoes, full tuxes, cufflinks and pocket squares. We used a store located in our local mall.
Review of Service
We were most unhappy with our tuxedo rental. The biggest problem was that the price of my son's tuxedo ended up being the same price as that of my husband's. There is a lot of difference between a six year old and a grown man, so the price was something I didn't understand. Also, we were never given options between brands or anything like that. We were told this is what you're getting. We went to the store about a month before the wedding to cancel and get our money back, deciding to go more casual than planned. However, the manager informed us that we wouldn't be able to get our money back for about a month, and it just didn't seem worth it. We didn't cancel, but the day of the fitting, we were told they had no record of our transaction. They found tuxedos for us, but then had to do a lot of alterations to make them fit properly. All in all, we were dissatisfied with the service we received.
Tips
Firstly, make sure you're willing to spend the money, because tuxes aren't cheap. I believe most places have a deal where if the entire wedding party (which they believe to be at least 3) gets their tuxes there, the groom is able to get his for free. Make sure they measure everyone twice, because there isn't always times to get alterations once the tuxes come in. Make sure you have a choice, and aren't just told what to rent.
