Description of service
Preparation for arm waxing, wax application, wax removal, and soothing after-treatment in a comfortable salon.
Review of Service
I get my arms waxed every few months since I have very dark hair and pale skin. I have a regular beautician at a comfy salon in town who does this for me. She preps my skin for the application of the wax by wiping them down to make sure there's no lotion or oils that are going to keep the wax from taking. She then heats up the wax, applies it in stripes on my arms, then uses a muslin strip to remove it, taking all the hair with it. This only takes about 20 minutes for both of my arms as it goes fast once she gets going. After all the hair is removed she takes off the remainder of any of the wax with either strips of muslin or some oil substance. She then applies a bit of soothing oil to take away some of the redness and sting. She also has some concealer in case it makes big red marks, but since it's on my arms and not face I usually don't use it. The appointments always go very fast and are well-worth the money.
Tips
Call around in town to see who has the best rates. It's more comfortable if you go to the same person every time and don't have to do the introductory chit chat. Be sure to tip well!
