Description of service
I got married this May and decided that with all of the exposure of a sleeveless dress and a subsequent honeymoon that I would spring for an arm and leg waxing at the local salon. The cost of waxing a half arm (from elbow to wrist) was $25.00, but I went all-out and paid the $40 to have the full arm waxed - from wrist to shoulder. The $40 was for both arms. This paid for the hot wax, the cloth strips used to take the wax and hair off of my arms and for the soothing treatment afterward.
Review of Service
I can't say this is something I would want to have done every day, but I have hairy arms and I loved the look of my smooth forearms on the day of the wedding (and for the many weeks that this waxing lasted!). Salons are serious when they say waxing lasts longer than shaving.
Tips
Don't listen to the people who tell you waxing isn't painful! It's not excruciating, but it certainly hurts more than ripping off a bandaid. Just be sure you research wherever you're going to get your body waxing done. There are places that don't sterilize their salons well and you could easily pick up some sort of infection if you go with someplace just because it's "cheap." Find a salon through word-of-mouth! That's always the way to figure out which places are best.
