the Cost of Birthday Invitations

We ordered 50 matte birthday invitations from a pre-made design. They were approximately 5x4 on 30lb card stock, and there were white envelopes included with the order. The invitations had a cute design on the front, and also had all of our information, including time, date, location, and a small messsage about the birthday party pre-printed on them.

The service was quick and simple, and probably ended up costing less than it would have to try to do it at home and use our expensive print cartridges. They looked good, had all the information we needed the invitations to have, already had envelopes included, and we received them not long after ordering. I think this service was well-worth the price, and it was much easier to order them from a professional than to try to do it at home and waste time, energy, ink, and paper, which would also then require me to get envelopes on my own.

Decide what kind of design you want before you go in to pick it out. There are tons of different ones - cutesy, minimal, basic, linen card stock, matte card stock, etc., so it will be quicker if you know beforehand what you are looking for. Also, it costs an extra $5 or so to get color printed on the inside, and also costs extra for colored envelopes. Be sure to have the information you want printed inside them written down or typed out legibally for the person at the shop.
