Description of service
Unlimited broadband access to the internet through a mobile device, called an Air Card, anywhere my cell phone gets signal. I pay $59.99 a month for the service, and the actual air card cost $99.99 after the mail in rebate. The device plugs into my computer's PC slot, and it came with connection software, so set up was a breeze. The advertised speed is 1.5 Millon bytes per second.
Review of Service
I don't like the service at all. I have to be in a place where I get signal in order to use the internet, and my home is currently too far from a tower, so I can't use the device in my own home. I think paying 59.99 a month is a lot for internet access. Also, the advertised speed is 1.5 mbps, but the actual speed is about half of that. Overall, I guess the service is okay, it does work when i'm away from home, but having to pay for broadband internet at home, and again on the mobile device is getting to be a bother.
Tips
Have someone you know let you borrow their computer and device to see if the service is good enough for you. You don't want to end up in a long contract with something you don't like.
