the Cost of Hair Color with Cut and Style

I got a cut and single process color for my shoulder length straight hair. I also got a brow wax. The breakdown was roughly $10 for the brows, $50 for the cut, $80 for the color and a $20 tip for the stylist and $5 for the shampoo girl who got me coffee.

I love everything about the salon and the services that I got there. I have been going for over a year and my hair and never been healthier or looked better. The stylist will always have a consultant with me about my look and what I liked or didn't like about the last time, any changes I am considering or an event that might be coming up. She will also give her honest opinion. It is very relaxing space and everyone is nice. The shampoo girl even went to Starbucks for me! This is VERY inexpensive for NYC.

Don't always go with a big name salon. You will not always get the same attention and you will pay MUCH more money.

Be open to different ideas for your look. A stylist is trained and knows new trends.

Ask to interview a stylist first and/or see photos of a hair portfolio. You should know what you are getting.

Be nice to everyone in the salon.
