Description of service
Over the course of the past several years, I had developed a series of skin tags at various locations on my body, most of them being located on my back and chest. Although unlike certain moles, skin tags are relatively harmless, at times they would get caught and snag on clothing or seat belts, and sometimes bleed. I decided to have them removed. They were removed over the course of 5 trips to the dermatologists office, with me having to pay a copay to insurance each trip. The doctor would first numb a cluster of the skin tags. He would then snip the skin tags off, and then cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding.
Review of Service
While I wish I did not have to make so many trips to finish the job, the doctor did everything in a professional manner, and unlike some doctors there was not a long wait in order to be seen. The area was always numbed up properly, and I felt no pain during the procedure. He provided good instructions for after care in order to ensure that nothing went wrong and they did not become infected.
Tips
I chose this doctor randomly out of the insurance book of network doctors, and while he was professional, I was not always comfortable with him. I am not sure if I ever needed to see a dermatologist again if I would see him or not. It might be a better idea to ask for recommendations from friends.
