Description of service
I got the electrical system fixed on my scooter. This place provides repair and maintenance of scooters and motorcycles, as well as other all-terrain vehicles--body repairs as well as engine repairs and regular routine maintenance of motor scooters.
Review of Service
Before I began riding a motorcycle, I tested the waters with a motor scooter. This 49 cc scooter did everything I needed it to do, and was a great way to travel when gas prices were climbing. I had a lot of electrical problems with this scooter, however. Frequently it would just not start for no apparent reason. It turned out to be a short in the wiring, which was there from the start. The warranty was just up when I finally brought it back to the shop to have the electrical system fixed, and it cost a pretty penny for a relatively inexpensive part. The mechanics were friendly and knowledgeable, but I still feel like I was ripped off big time to repair something that never should have been broken to begin with.
Tips
If your scooter is under warranty, bring it in right away if there is a problem. I was frustrated that I had to pay out of pocket for a repair that never should have been needed, but it is my own fault for waiting until the warranty was up to bring it into the shop--they had no idea that it wasn't working from the start. Ask friends and family for a reputable person who works exclusively on motor scooters, otherwise bring it to the dealership from where it was purchased for all repairs and maintenance.
