Description of service
My husband was on painkillers for three days because of sharp pain in his tooth. The family dentist diagnosed it as third degree root canal. Apparently the pain killers did not have any affect on him and he developed abscess in the canal. We rushed to the emergency for instant care. At the end, we paid,
X-Ray = $60
Diagnosis (create a hole in the tooth to drain out abscess) = $80
Emergency service fee = $35
Tax = $ 18.76
Medicine (antibiotics + pain killers) = $55.84
Total = $249.60
Review of Service
Regardless of the price for a first visit, the fact that my husband got instant relief was worth it. The dentist was very nice and offered us time to discuss before making a decision on the spot. He was quite patient. The best part was the waiting line was very short (I would say 15 minutes) and that too on a Sunday.
Tips
If you have serious pain, don't wait until your next dentist appointment like me. It's not fair to you or the person in pain. Go to the emergency dental care because they are there for you. Use it so that you don't have to bear the pain. The cost is not any different than using your own family dentist.
