I had chipped my tooth several years earlier, but it had never bothered me. Last month, it started to respond poorly to extreme cold and heat and ache a litle bit. I called the dentist and they fit me in for an emergency visit the next day. They inspected my tooth and concluded that there wasn't severe damage, but said they could make it more comfortable for me. After filing the tooth, they treated it with a flouride paste to increase strength and reduce sensativity. I was not allowed to eat or drink for a few hours while the paste set in and not brush my teeth until the following morning. I was advised that it may be several weeks before I noticed a large difference in the feeling.

I was extremely satisfied with the service I received. They offered a discount for paying on the spot, 2% for credit cards, and 3% for cash. They were extremely helpful and the tooth has healed very well. I have no discomfort now at all and am very happy that the problem was rectified before it became a bigger one. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and made going to the dentist a pleasure.

In the case of a chipped tooth, it is always better to have it looked at early. If I had come in when it first happened, I probably could have spared myself the pain of decay that later occured.
